This gorgeous Petrolex fire extinguisher with full copper front and brass labels to the back was made by Read & Campbell, London in 1928 – the same year as John Logie Baird made the first television transmission between London and New York.
Wonderful studs and intricate labelling provide that extra detail which really sets the whole piece off as a stunning, gleaming lamp base.
