Welcome to George Juniper & Co’s lighting shop. Here you will find our ever-changing range of bespoke, unique and often quirky lighting.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, please do get in touch as we have a great selection of products in stock that are waiting for conversion. We relish a treasure hunt and love the challenge of sourcing the extraordinary and the unusual if that’s what you’re seeking – uber cool or rock and roll, industrial or modernist – we can create the lighting magic you desire for your home.
We have a passion for all things well-designed and made to last. Antique, industrial and vintage items fit this bill perfectly and so we source any piece that we feel can have a new life as a lamp. Fire extinguishers and fire branches in copper, brass and chrome are a particular favourite as they are not only sturdily constructed, but visually striking in such an array of shapes, sizes and metals. We lovingly convert every lamp by hand in our Suffolk workshop ause antique and vintage parts to extend and enhance each light. Old brass may be incorporated into a design whilst wooden worktop offcuts are turned on our lathe and made into bases in a variety of shapes and styles. We endeavour to re-cycle and upcycle elements wherever we can and our ethos is focussed on sustainable and ethical behaviour. As a small company we can research and source our products and components from companies that share our values. All the electrical elements are sourced from the best producers and we buy British wherever we can. Every lamp is PAT-tested.
Repairing and refreshing lighting involves more than simply fixing issues; it’s about embracing the unique character of each piece. We take great care to restore finishes, polish metals, and replace broken components, ensuring that every light fixture shines in its full glory. At George Juniper Lighting, we are committed to delivering beautiful outcomes that exceed our clients’ expectations, blending craftsmanship with a deep appreciation for the stories behind every light. Let us illuminate your space with restored brilliance!
Lighting restoration and rejuvenation is both an art and a science, bringing new life to vintage and contemporary fixtures alike. At George Juniper Lighting, we specialise in the meticulous process of restoring all types of lighting pieces, from intricate chandeliers that sparkle with history to modern desk lamps that reflect contemporary design trends. Our expert team understands the value of these pieces, whether they are cherished heirlooms or recent acquisitions.
Rewiring is a critical aspect of our service, ensuring safety and functionality without compromising aesthetics. Many older lamps and fixtures may have outdated wiring that can pose risks or diminish performance. Our skilled and experienced craftspeople are adept at carefully removing, replacing, and upgrading the wiring in a way that respects the original design while enhancing safety.
We very much hope that this repurposed, reimagined and unique lighting piece will add impact, interest and individuality to the interior setting you introduce it to and become a treasured feature.
